第六届亚洲白内障研究会议（6th Asian Cataract Research Conference, ACRC）将于2006年6月3日－7日在北京国际饭店召开。
   第六届ACRC由亚洲白内障研究会议委员会与中华医学会眼科学分会白内障学组共同主办、北京同仁眼科中心承办，是2006年白内障学组以及北京同仁眼科中心非常重要的活动项目（唯一的一次学组活动，承办的唯一一次国际会议），预计国内外将有200人参加。
   自1996年第一届ACRC在中国广州召开以来，ACRC已在亚洲成功举办了五届。ACRC的宗旨是促进亚洲白内障的研究工作，尤其鼓励年轻的眼科医师和科研人员的参与。本届ACRC将包括一天的临床技术交流，届时我们将现场直播由国内外经验丰富的白内障专家进行复杂白内障的手术演示。在后面三天的基础研究交流中，将对晶体蛋白修饰与酶学、基因表达与遗传性白内障、白内障模型与新方法、氧化及紫外线损伤、抗氧化剂与抗白内障成分、生长因子与信号传导、临床研究与流行病学研究进展等进行讨论。会议期间还将展示国内外先进的眼科医疗器械和医药技术。

   The 6th Asian Cataract Research Conference (6th ACRC) will be held on June 3-7, 2006, Beijing International Hotel, Beijing, China. 
   The 6th ACRC is organized and supported by Cataract Society of Chinese Ophthalmological Society, and the Ophthalmology Center of Beijing Tong'ren Hospital. 
   Since 1996 when the 1st ACRC was held in Guangzhou, China, the previous five ACRC meetings have been successfully organized in Asian cities. The aim of the ACRC meeting is to stimulate and implement active cataract research in Asia, especially for the young scientists and physicians. There will be one-day workshop on clinical technologies and live surgery demonstration, followed by three and half days of basic research presentations. The topics in ACRC focus on the following subjects: enzyme and protein modifications, gene expression and genetic cataract, cataract models and new methodologies, oxidation and UV light damage, antioxidants and anticataract agents, growth factor and signal transduction, clinical studies and epidemiology.
